SEC Baseball Tournament play continues on Wednesday, as Ole Miss and Florida square-off in the second round.

Postseason play continues in Hoover, Alabama on Wednesday as eight teams fight for the chance to be crowned SEC Baseball Tournament Champions. On Wednesday evening, the 10th-seeded Florida Gators will take on the seventh-seeded Ole Miss Rebels at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The Gators opened their tournament run against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday, winning handily in an 11-3 victory to improve to 38-19 overall this season. Bobby Boser led the team offensively, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs from a three-run homer to center field in the bottom of the second. The Rebels concluded regular season play with an overall record of 37-18 and a conference record of 16-14. With that, the team earned the seventh seed which allowed for a bye in the first round. Ole Miss’ final SEC series of the season was played against Auburn and the Rebels pulled off the upset, winning games one and two to secure the series victory before falling in the finale. Luke Hill leads the team this season with a batting average of .345, which has helped the team’s overall average to reach .288. Ole Miss will likely use Hunter Elliott on the mound on Wednesday. The right-handed pitcher comes into postseason play with an ERA of 3.31.
