These teams met on Wednesday in the first game of this tournament with St. John’s winning an exciting 11-9 contest. St. John’s entered the ninth inning with the lead, but Georgetown tied the contest in the top of the inning with a Joe Hollerback single.
But St. John’s walked off with the win in the bottom of the ninth, with catcher Jimmy Keenan hitting a two-run homer to win it, putting St. John’s in a spot where all it needs is to win once on Saturday.
