Stetson (41-21) looks for its second win in three days over NC State (34-20) at the Auburn Regional of the NCAA baseball tournament on Sunday. The teams meet at Plainsman Park with the Hatters having blasted the Wolfpack 11-2 in a first round game on Friday before losing to No. 4 national seed Auburn on Saturday. NC State fought back to eliminate Central Connecticut State on Saturday to advance. The winner of this game faces the Tigers in the regional final on Sunday night, with a winner-take-all game set for Monday should Auburn lose.

Ryan Marohn struck out 10 in eight shutout innings on Saturday, as the Wolfpack eliminated Central Connecticut State 12-0 on Saturday. Luke Nixon clubbed a three-run homer in the ninth inning, while Alex Sosa gave NC State all the runs it needed with a two-run shot in the first. Ryder Woodson added a two-run blast in the fourth. Chris McHugh comes into the game with a .370/.465/.540 slash line to go with seven home runs and a team-best 47 RBIs, while Josh Hogue leads the club with 11 home runs.

Stetson fell into an early 4-0 hole in its 8-5 loss to Auburn on Saturday. Isaiah Barkett finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Lorenzo Meola went 3-for-5. Barkett is slashing .387/.458/.498 with two home runs, 33 RBIs and 31 steals in 37 attempts. Meola leads the team with 11 home runs and shares the team lead of 42 RBIs with Jordan Taylor.

The Wolfpack has sophomore right-hander Heath Andrews (4-3) lined up to start Sunday afternoon. In 13 starts, he has a 5.97 ERA and 1.51 WHIP in 60.1 innings. The Hatters likely will go with junior right-hander Ethan Phillips (1-4), who has appeared in 14 games, starting 13, and has a 5.17 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in 47 innings.
