Texas can clinch its SEC series at Kentucky on Saturday after rallying late in Friday night’s opener in Lexington

No. 2 Texas (28-4) improved to 12-1 in Southeastern Conference play, maintaining a share of the lead with No. 1 Arkansas, after rallying on Friday night to beat Kentucky (18-13). On Saturday, the Longhorns — who have won five straight — tangle with the Wildcats, losers of four in a row, once again at Kentucky Proud Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The Wildcats are now 5-8 in SEC action, good for 11th place, after reaching the College World Series for the first time in program history in 2024. Texas has played in three straight NCAA tournaments, last getting to Omaha in 2022.
