Oklahoma makes its SEC Tournament debut on Tuesday, taking on Kentucky in the second game of the day.

The 2025 SEC Tournament continues with an early-afternoon matchup in the second game of the day. In this game, 12 seed Oklahoma (33-19, 14-16 SEC) will be making its debut in the SEC Tournament after joining the conference from the Big 12 last year. The Sooners’ first opponent will be 13 seed Kentucky (29-23, 13-17 SEC) at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. Tuesday’s winner will move on to face the five-seed Georgia on Wednesday, with the winner of that game getting a meeting with the fourth-seed Vanderbilt on Thursday.

Oklahoma’s first SEC season saw the Sooners finish just under .500 in conference play. This is a year after they reached the Big 12 Tournament championship, but lost to rival Oklahoma State.

Kentucky is a year removed from being the third seed in the SEC Tournament. However the Wildcats lost their first game last year to an LSU team that made a run to the title game as an 11 seed.

Coming back this year the Wildcats got off to a hot start but lost seven of their last 11 games. However they did sweep Oklahoma in three games in Lexington two weeks ago. Those games had final scores of 4-3, 8-5, and 7-2.

First pitch on Tuesday afternoon is set for 2:00 p.m. ET, assuming the first game between Alabama and Missouri ends on time. Coverage of this one and the entire first round of the 2025 SEC Tournament can be found on the SEC Network.
