Louisville will stay on the road this weekend in college baseball for the second game of a three-game series against Miami (FL) at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field in Florida. The Cardinals are 21-15 overall this season with a 7-8 record against Atlantic Coast Conference teams. They lost two games of a three-game series against Florida State at the end of March. They followed it up with a sweep of NC State at home before losing two games of three against Virginia. Their last two single games ended in a loss to Western Kentucky on the road and Kentucky at home 17-13. Ryan McCoy leads the team in the box this season batting .330 with nine home runs and 30 RBIs on 34 hits. He is followed by two players with eight home runs each, Luke Napelton and Logan Beard. Napelton has 26 RBIs while Beard has 20 on 31 and 18 hits respectively.

The Hurricanes are 16-20 overall this season and just 6-12 against ACC opponents. They began April getting swept by Duke in their first series. They were then swept by Florida State heading into this weekend. Their last two single games ended with a win against Florida Atlantic and a loss against Bethune Cookman 6-4.
Daniel Cuvet, the team’s third baseman, is batting 35.2% this season from the box with an on-base percentage of 43.5%. He has 12 home runs and 40 RBIs with 51 hits. He leads the team in all three categories this season and will need to step up to pick up some wins in this series.
