The Wolverines head into the tournament after taking two of three from No. 2 Rutgers last weekend. They took the first two games against the Scarlet Knights but lost the third game in an 18-12 slugfest.
The series win propelled them to a 12-12 finish in the Big Ten and the fifth seed in the tournament.
Wednesday, they will look to stay hot against an Illinois team that they did not play in the regular season.
The Fighting Illini finished the year 17-7 in the Big Ten and come in on a four-game winning streak.
Illinois swept Penn State on the road to finish the season and has now won nine of its last 10 games.
It has been a great end to the season and Wednesday they will look to continue it and get a big first-round win against Michigan.
