Regan Hall struck out seven in five innings, combining with two relievers on a six-hit shutout as Illinois rolled to a 12-0 run-rule win in seven innings on Friday night. Collin Jennings started the onslaught with a solo home run in the second inning and the Illini broke the game open with a seven-run outburst in the third. Jennings finished 3-for-4 with three RBI while AJ Putty, Will Johannes and J.R. Nelson each drove home two runs each.

Owen McElfatrick notched two of the six hits for the Wildcats, who had a three-game winning streak snapped. Jackson Freeman’s double was the team’s only extra-base hit in the loss.
