On Saturday night, No. 5 Oregon State will host Stanford for the second game of the teams’ Pac-12 series at Goss Stadium At Coleman Field. The Cardinal comes into Saturday night’s game on a three-game losing streak to bring their overall record to 13-18 and their conference record to 6-7 for a spot in sixth place in the Pac-12 standings. Last night’s series opener resulted in a tough 6-0 loss for Stanford and the team will look to regroup and get one back on Saturday night against the Beavers. Stanford could only come up with five hits in Friday night’s game, led by Ethan Hott who finished with two. Matt Scott moved to 2-6 on the season with the loss on the mound after giving up three earned runs and striking out nine batters.

The Beavers bring a seven game win streak into Saturday’s game after last night’s win and improved to 28-4 overall and 9-3 in conference play to hold the top of the Pac-12 leaderboard. Dallas Macias led the Oregon State offense last night, going 2-for-3 with two RBI from a two-run shot in the second inning. Wilson Weber only had one hit for the Beavers, but it was a triple that brought in a run to extend his team’s lead to 4-0 in the seventh before the final two runs came through in the same inning. Aiden May remains undefeated on the mound after throwing for six innings and striking out five batters.
