On Saturday evening, No. 3 Texas A&M will host No. 6 Vanderbilt in a highly competitive SEC matchup at Blue Bell Park. The Commodores come into Saturday night’s game with a spot in third place in the SEC East standings with an overall record of 26-8 and a conference record of 8-5. Last night, the Commodores fell in a rough 15-0 loss to the Aggies in seven innings. Vanderbilt was only able to muster four hits against strong pitching from the Aggies’ Ryan Prager. Bryce Cunningham took the loss on the mound with four innings of throwing in which he gave up seven earned runs and only struck out two batters.

The Aggies were on fire in last night’s win, collectively hitting five home runs to account for 11 runs. The win improved the team’s record to 9-4 in SEC play and 30-4 overall for a spot in second place in the SEC West standings. Braden Montgomery and Jace LaViolette each hit two home runs in the win while Ted Burton hit one. The team finished the game with 17 hits as every member of the roster had two hits with the exception of two players. Ryan Prager pitched a complete game and struck out 10 batters.
