College field hockey features a cross-conference match between Rider and Monmouth today.
Monmouth (3-1) bounced back after its first loss of the season to get back on track. The Hawks look to continue the momentum today against Rider (2-2), which has lost back-to-back games heading into today. The Hawks are off to a better start to the season in college field hockey and look to get the attention of the national rankings with another win. The duo of Sofia Fouces and Anna Moors are leading the way with three goals a piece and seven total points each. Milla Frye has been an assassin on the offensive end only needing five shots on goal to score her three goals giving the Hawks a dynamic trio to light up the scoreboard every match.

In the Hawks last win they edged James Madison on the road 4-3 after trailing heading into the final period. Moors stepped up in the final period with an assist to Frye to tie the game and then a goal of her own to break the tie and win the game.
For the Broncs, they started the season like a house on fire with wins against Colgate (5-1) and Mercyhurst (7-1) behind their offense. Since then they have scored two total goals in back-to-back losses with the offense struggling to score.
Megan Normile has been one of the most dynamic offensive players to start the season scoring five of the teams 12 goals with 11 points to start the season. She has goals in three of the four games so far this season and has three of the team’s last four goals spread across the last three games overall.
