With the ACC Tournament taking place at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, No. 1 seed Nortre Dame faces off against No. 4 seed Syracuse on Friday. 

After scuffling by its lofty standards in the middle of the season, Notre Dame rattled off three straight wins to earn the ACC regular-season title. The Irish are 8-3 overall with a 2-0 conference record and an 0-1 neutral site record this season. Syracuse, on the other hand, is ranked 12th nationally after losing its final three games of the regular season. The Orange are 9-5 overall with a 2-2 conference record and an 0-1 neutral site record. Earlier this season, Syracuse pulled off the upset with a 14-9 victory over Notre Dame in early April.

Most recently, the sixth-ranked Irish ended the regular season with a 10-8 victory over Penn in South Bend last Saturday. Notre Dame erupted for a seven-goal third quarter, with Devon McLane scoring a season-high four goals. Chris Kavanagh had a six-point performance with three goals and three assists in the comeback victory. 

As for Syracuse, the Orange fell in their regular-season finale to North Carolina by a final score of 14-12 at the JMA Wireless Dome last Saturday. The Orange were led by a five-point performance from Joey Spallina with all five points coming on assists. Sam English also added a hat trick and two assists in the loss.
