With the two conference foes meeting again for a CAA matchup in Hempstead, Hofstra hosts conference rival Drexel at Shuart Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 

After getting out to a good start with a 4-1 record out of the gate, Hofstra saw its three-game winning streak snapped by No. 16 Fairfield last week. Hofstra is now 7-3 overall with a 3-1 conference record and a 4-1 record at home. Drexel, on the other hand, got back in the win column to improve to 5-6 overall with a 2-2 conference record and a 2-3 road record. Hofstra and Drexel are an even 13-13 in their series history, with Drexel earning a 13-12 win last season.

Most recently, Hofstra held tough with No. 16 Fairfield in a 14-10 loss on the road at Rafferty Stadium last Saturday. Rory Jones scored a season-high five goals and Anthony Mollica had four points on a goal and three assists. Trey Parkes also had a three-point night with a goal and two assists in the loss. 

As for Drexel, the Dragons dominated in a 17-1 victory over Hampton at Vidas Field in Philly last Saturday. Drexel scored the first 13 goals of the game to cruise to a win. Gavin Kelly scored 33 seconds into the game, while four Dragons scored two goals each. Jack Joyner was among them with a three-point night on two goals and an assist. 

Hofstra and Drexel will now square off in a CAA showdown at Shuart Stadium on Saturday.
