In a matchup between two powerhouse programs in the quarterfinals at Cooper Field, top-seeded Notre Dame squares off against No. 8 seed Georgetown for a trip to the Final Four on Saturday. As the tournament’s top overall seed, the Irish have won 11 straight games including an ACC title with a nation-best 13-1 record this season. Notre Dame is 3-0 in neutral site games, but their lone loss this season came in South Bend against Georgetown back in late February. The Hoyas have won five consecutive games to reach the NCAA quarterfinals with a 13-3 overall record and a 1-0 mark in neutral site games. Earlier this season, Georgetown pulled off the upset with an 11-10 overtime victory over Notre Dame.

Most recently, Notre Dame advanced to the quarterfinals with a 14-9 victory over UAlbany last week in South Bend. The Irish outscored Albany 10-4 over the final 30 minutes. Notre Dame has now advanced to the quarterfinals in 12 of their last 13 appearances in the NCAA tournament.
As for Georgetown, the Hoyas reached the quarterfinals with a 12-9 victory over Penn State in Washington last week. Jordan Wray led the Hoyas with four goals while Jack Schubert had three goals and an assist in the win.
