Penn State welcomes Maryland to town on Sunday night for a Big Ten men’s lacrosse battle. The Nittany Lions come into Sunday on a seven-match winning streak and fresh off a big 12-9 win over Ohio State in its conference opener. The Nittany Lions had to come back to get the win as they trailed by three at halftime, but outscored the Buckeyes 8-2 in the second half to come away with the victory. Matt Traynor would tally three goals to help the Nittany Lions get the come-from-behind victory. The Nittany Lions haven’t lost since losing 13-12 to Colgate in its opener. They already own three ranked wins and will look to make it No. 4 on Sunday against No. 12 Maryland.

The Terrapins, though, will look to keep that from happening as they try and bounce back from a 12-11 loss at Michigan last Sunday.

The Terrapins have had a rough schedule as seven of their last eight opponents have been ranked and Sunday will be eight of nine. The Terrapins are just 5-3 on the season in those games, but they are still playing good lacrosse.
