Maryland and Notre Dame meet in the finals of the NCAA Lacrosse Tournament
Maryland and Notre Dame are set to meet on Monday to determine the 2024 champion in men’s college lacrosse. The Irish, who beat Duke 13-9 to win the title in 2023, face the 2022 champion, Maryland, which beat Cornell to win that title. Notre Dame was the No. 1 seed in this year’s tournament and took down UAlbany, Georgetown and Denver to reach the final. Maryland, the No. 7 seed, beat Princeton, Duke and Virginia to set up this battle of the last two college lacrosse champs.

On Saturday, Notre Dame beat Denver 13-6. Devon McLane, Chris Kavanagh and Pat Kavanagh each scored three goals in the victory for the Irish.
Meanwhile in the other semifinal, Maryland defeated Virginia 12-6. Daniel Kelly scored three goals while Eric Spanos and Daniel Maltz added one each.
Which of these schools will win the title on Monday? A win would give Notre Dame its second title, while Maryland is searching for championship No. 5. The Terps have also been runners-up 12 times in this competition.
