With two games remaining for both teams before the Patriot League tournament later this month, unranked Navy faces off against Loyola (Md.) in Baltimore on Friday night.
Following losses in two out of its last three games, including to rival Army, Navy is trying to get back into the Top 20 rankings after receiving votes in the latest polls. The Midshipmen are 7-5 overall with a 3-3 conference record and a 2-2 road record this season. Loyola, on the other hand, won its second game of the year against Holy Cross last week. The Greyhounds are now 2-10 overall with a 2-4 conference record and a 1-4 home record. Loyola has a 13-7 advantage in the series, but Navy earned a 12-10 victory over Loyola last season.

Most recently, No. 5 Army rallied for a huge overtime victory over Navy in a 12-11 thriller last week in Annapolis. Navy got the game into overtime by outscoring the Black Knights 5-3 in the fourth quarter, but Army won the game in overtime on a goal by Jackson Eicher. Jack Flaherty led the way for Navy’s offense with a pair of goals and two assists, while Mac Haley and Jack Ponzio added two goals and an assist as well.
As for Loyola, the Greyhounds notched their second win of the season with a 21-10 victory over Holy Cross on Senior Day in Baltimore last week. Mason Cook led the way with five goals and five assists, while Ryan McGorry and Will McCulloch had career-highs with five and four points each.
Navy will now face off against Loyola at Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore on Friday night.
