With the home team looking to stack back-to-back wins together, No. 20 Denver hosts Villanova at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium in Colorado on Saturday afternoon. 

After consecutive losses to Yale and third-ranked Ohio State, Denver pulled off a convincing upset over No. 11 Duke to improve to 5-4 overall with a 3-2 home record. The Pioneers will open Big East play vs. Villanova, who also recently snapped a two-game losing streak by taking down Brown. The Wildcats are 3-5 overall with an 0-2 road record as they open conference play. Denver holds an 18-5 advantage in the series history, but Villanova pulled off an upset last season with a 10-9 win over the Pioneers last May.

Most recently, Denver pulled off a massive upset by taking down No. 11 Duke in a 13-6 victory over the Blue Devils in Dallas last week. Noah Manning led the way with an eight-point performance off six goals and two assists. Mic Kelly also scored a hat trick in the win. 

As for Villanova, the Wildcats built a huge first-half lead to earn a 16-9 victory over Brown at home last week. Nicholas Lucchesi and Colin Michener combined to score eight goals with four a piece, while Matt Licata netted two goals in the win. The 16 goals were a season-high for Villanova. 

No. 20 Denver will now face off against Villanova at Barton Lacrosse Stadium on Saturday.
