With the second-ranked team in the nation renewing its rivalry against an Ivy League foe, No. 2 Princeton faces off against Yale at Sherrerd Field in New Jersey on Saturday. The second-ranked Tigers are on fire amidst a six-game winning streak that has seen them hold firm at No. 2 in the most recent polls. Princeton is now 10-2 overall with a 4-1 conference record and a 5-1 mark at home this season. The Tigers losses have come against No. 3 Maryland and top-ranked Cornell, but otherwise Princeton has dominated the competition. Yale, on the other hand, saw its four-game winning streak ended in overtime last week. The Bulldogs are now 5-6 overall with a 3-2 conference record and a 1-3 road record. Princeton has won five-straight games over Yale, including a 14-10 victory last season.

Most recently, Princeton continued its winning ways with a 12-8 victory over Ivy League rival Penn in Philly last week. Peter Buonanno led the way for the Tigers with a four-point performance on three goals and an assist, while Tucker Wade had a three-point day on two goals and an assist. Chad Palumbo also added two goals in the win for the Tigers. 

As for Yale, the Bulldogs fell in an overtime thriller by a final score of 15-14 at UAlbany last week to snap a four-game winning streak. Chris Lyons had a strong performance with four goals and an assist for Yale, while Leo Johnson had a six-point day on a hat trick and three assists.
