The Black Knights have gotten off to a 2-0 start, with a 14-8 win over UMass Amherst in the season opener followed by a narrow 11-9 win at Rutgers last week in the team’s first road game of the season. On Saturday the Black Knights return home to Michie Stadium, where they’ll have a chance to improve to 3-0 with Yale (0-0, 0-0 Ivy League) coming to town for a visit.

Sophomore attack Hill Plunkett has led the Black Knights over the first two games. He’s got a team-high nine points with seven goals and two assists. The Roswell, Ga. native is picking up where he left off as a true freshman, when he was named a First Team All-Patriot League player.

For Yale, this game is the season opener. The Bulldogs are looking to improve after a 5-8 season last year. That also included an early-season game against Army, which the Black Knights won 14-3.
