Alex Meinhard extended the lead in the 23rd minute after sneaking his 11th goal of the season just inside the left post to make it a 2-0 game going into the break.

Shortly after halftime, Cal got on the board and cut Clemson’s lead in half before evening it 10 minutes later. Wahabu Musah put in what would end up being the game winner in the 65th minute.
