The Crimson Tide bring an overall record of 32-14 and a conference record of 9-12 into this weekend’s series, which puts them in ninth place in the SEC standings. The team will look to carry momentum from a big 1-0 victory over No. 3 Tennessee into Thursday night’s game. Kayla Beaver pitched one of the best games of her career, holding the Lady Vols to just two hits in a complete game, while striking out six batters. The team’s only run of the game was plated by an RBI single from Kristen White.
When these two teams met last season, Auburn dropped the first game in a 6-1 loss, but rallied to take the second and third games by scores of 5-1 and 3-1, respectively.
