LSU will look to get its broom out and complete the sweep against Alabama when the teams meet on Sunday in their SEC finale.

The No. 23 Alabama Crimson Tide will conclude their road trip to Baton Rouge on Sunday afternoon with an SEC finale against the No. 7 LSU Tigers at Tiger Park. The Crimson Tide dropped the first two games of the series by scores of 8-0 and 2-1 and will look to bounce back to avoid the sweep on Sunday. With the losses, Alabama dropped to 27-15 on the season and 4-7 in conference play. The Tigers jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first, forcing the Crimson Tide to play from behind. Alabama didn’t get on the board until the fifth when Abby Duchscherer was hit by a pitch to bring home Salen Hawkins. LSU held Alabama to just three hits on the day and it just wasn’t enough to close the gap. Jocelyn Briski was credited with the loss to move to 10-9 on the season after going 2.1 innings and striking out one batter.
