Game 2 of the NCAA DI Softball Championship Gainesville Super Regional series between Baylor and Florida gets going on Saturday with Baylor needing a win to force a deciding Game 3. In Game 1 on Friday, Florida defeated Bayloe 4-2, fueled by a three-run first inning for the Gators. Katie Kistler had a pair of RBIs in that first inning as Florida took a lead it never gave up. Florida enters this game on a 12-game winning streak. The team beat Florida Gulf Coast 6-0 to begin the regional, then run-ruled South Alabama in two straight meetings, taking 9-1 victories in both contests. In the most recent one, Jocelyn Erickson drove in three of the Gators’ runs, going 2-for-3 with a walk. Ava Brown and Korbe Otis each added two RBIs as Florida just completely ran over the Jaguars. Brown also pitched three innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three.
