San Jose State will welcome Boise State to California on Friday as the teams kick off their Mountain West series.

The Boise State Broncos will take a weekend trip to California to play the San Jose State Spartans at Spartan Softball Complex in a Mountain West series. The Spartans are currently in sixth place in the conference standings with a Mountain West record of 6-10 and an overall record of 19-24. On Tuesday, the team traveled to take on Santa Clara in a non-conference game which resulted in a tough 3-2 loss. The team trailed 2-1 going into the seventh inning, but Ahmiya Noriega hit an RBI double to left center to tie things up. The even score was short-lived, however, as Santa Clara hit a walk-off double to win the game off of Taylor Peacock who dropped to 1-2 on the season with a complete game pitched and three earned runs given up.
