Duke takes on Missouri in college softball super regional action on Sunday. This is Game 3 of the series in a winner-take-all game that will have the victor make it to the Women’s College World Series. In Game 1 Duke came away with a 6-3 victory, before Missouri got a 3-1 win in Game 2.

In Game 1, the second inning is where the majority of runs were scored. Duke scored three runs in the top of the frame. Francesca Frelick put the Blue Devils in front with a two-run home run and D’Auna Jennings added another run two batters later with an RBI-triple. After that, the team never trailed.
Mizzou won its fifth elimination game of the NCAA Tournament in Game 2. The Tigers broke open an early pitcher’s duel with three runs in the top of the fourth inning. Taylor Pannell worked out of a bases loaded jam in the sixth inning and retired Duke in order in the seventh to tie the NCAA single-season record with her 15th save of the campaign.
