Kalei Harding and No. 15 Florida State will take the field against Anna Wohlers and Auburn in the Durham Regional.
The NCAA softball tournament will continue today with a matchup between the No. 15 ranked team in the country, Florida State, and Auburn at the Durham Regional in North Carolina on Sunday afternoon. This is the championship game of the Durham Regional with the winner advancing to the Super Regionals next week. The Seminoles finished their season with a 45-14 record overall and a 19-5 record against teams from the ACC. They lost in the ACC Tournament championship game to Duke 6-3 after previously beating Notre Dame and Georgia Tech in the same tournament. They opened up the NCAA Tournament in the Durham Regional with a win against Chattanooga 3-2. Ashtyn Danley won game No. 17 on the season pitching 2.2 innings with three strikeouts allowing no earned runs. Isa Torres, Devyn Flaherty, and Hallie Wacaser all had one RBI each in the win. Yesterday, they took on and defeated UCF 5-1 on the back of Mimi Gooden picking up another win. She went 4.1 innings with one earned run and one strikeout before Danley took over. Kalei Harding had two RBIs in the win.

The Tigers finished their season this year with a 28-20-2 record overall and a 91-5 record against teams from the SEC. They lost to UCF 11-6 in the first round of the regional sending them to the losers’ bracket. They bounced back with a 9-0 shutout win over Chattanooga in their first game of the losers’ bracket.
Maddie Penta picked up the win on the mound while KK McCrary and Anna Wohlers both homered in the game as well. They kept rolling with a 2-1 win over UCF to send them to the championship game. If they win this game, they will be required to beat Florida State in a second game to claim the championship and a Super Regional birth.
