A battle for position in the middle of the ACC goes to a Sunday rubber game after Georgia Tech, UNC split a pair on Saturday.

North Carolina (31-13) salvaged the nightcap of a Saturday doubleheader to gain a split with visiting Georgia Tech (26-16) and the teams will settle the series on Sunday afternoon at Anderson Stadium in Chapel Hill. The Yellow Jackets are now 10-7 and tied for sixth in Atlantic Coast Conference play, a game ahead of the 9-8 Tar Heels, who have sole possession of eighth place.
