Postseason play continues for the No. 3 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Florida Atlantic Owls on Friday afternoon as the teams begin round robin play in the Gainesville Regional at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. FAU made it through to the NCAA tournament with an at-large bid after finishing regular season play with an overall record of 44-9. In the American Athletic Conference Tournament, the team took on North Texas, falling in a 1-0 defeat. While the Owls held the Mean Green to just one hit, it ended up bringing in the game-winning run in the fifth inning. Autumn Courtney pitched a complete game for the Owls, striking out seven batters in the loss. It’s that same level of pitching that the team will neet to get past the Ramblin’ Wreck on Friday.

The Yellow Jackets come into Friday’s regional matchup with an overall record of 27-22. The team’s most recent game was played against top-ranked Florida State and resulted in a big 8-0 loss in the ACC tournament.
