The Wildcats will look to break a four-game losing streak on Wednesday after being swept by No. 14 Arkansas over the weekend to drop to 21-15 on the season and 5-7 in SEC play, which puts them in 12th place in the conference standings. The first game against the Razorbacks resulted in a 5-3 defeat, but the second game was a blowout as the Hogs run-ruled the Wildcats 10-2 in five innings. The team kept the game much closer in the finale, losing in a 2-1 result. Ally Hutchins led off with a solo shot to center field in the first inning to put Kentucky up 1-0, but that’s where the scoring stopped for the Wildcats. Arkansas went on to score one run in the first to tie things up and the game winner came across home in the sixth. Carson Fall was credited with the loss after going five innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out two batters.

Kentucky and Louisville have met a total of 44 times in their history and the Wildcats hold a narrow 24-20 lead in the all-time series. The last meeting between the teams took place back in 2023 and the game went in Kentucky’s favor with a 7-4 win at home.
