No. 25 Ole Miss will take the field against Bri Ellis and the No. 2-ranked Arkansas in the first game of the Fayetteville Super Regional.

The No. 25-ranked Ole Miss will head on the road to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to take on the No. 2-ranked Arkansas at Bogle Park in the first game of the NCAA Fayetteville Super Regional on Friday night. The 40-18 Rebels, also ranked No. 25 in the country, came out of the Tucson Regional, winning two of three games against the host Arizona. They lost to Texas in the SEC Tournament after beating Missouri and Florida. That was before they opened up the Tucson Regional against Grand Canyon, winning 7-4. They sandwiched a loss to Arizona between two wins, the last 7-3.

Brianna Lopez has been the best pitcher for Ole Miss this year, close with Miali Guachino. The senior is 13-4 this year with a 2.65 ERA and 106 strikeouts over 124.1 total innings. Senior Lexie Brady, Ole Miss’s catcher, is batting .340 to lead the team. She also has a team-high 16 home runs and 47 RBIs this season.

The Razorbacks finished their season with a 43-12 record overall and a 14-10 record against SEC teams. They lost to Oklahoma on the road in Game 12 of the SEC Tournament, 8-6, before heading into the Fayetteville Regional. They opened up their hosted regional with a 10-0 win over Saint Louis before beating Oklahoma State in two straight games, the last being the championship.

Robyn Herron, a junior, has been the best on the mound for Arkansas. She has a 2.62 ERA and 18 wins in 23 starts. In 32 appearances, she has 155 strikeouts over 138.2 total innings. First baseman Bri Eills leads the team at the plate, batting .457. She has a team-high 26 home runs and 72 RBIs on 58 hits in 127 at-bats.
