Nebraska looks to clinch a Big Ten series win on Sunday evening when it hosts Purdue

The Nebraska Cornhuskers host the Purdue Boilermakers on Sunday evening in the middle game of a three-game series. The Cornhuskers drew first blood on Saturday when they whipped the Boilermakers 13-1. The victory over the Boilermakers was their fifth straight win and improved their record to 25-8 overall and 5-1 in the Big Ten. They opened up conference play with a split of two games against Ohio State and then they swept Minnesota in three games the next weekend. The great play has the Cornhuskers ranked 20th in the country and has them as one of the favorites in the Big Ten. They will wrap up their series with the Boilermakers on Monday, but first want to clinch the series with another win on Sunday. They had no trouble in the opener on Saturday as they jumped out to a big lead with seven runs in the second inning and four more in the third. Sunday they will look to do much of the same.
