Tennessee looks to punch its ticket to the Super Regionals on Sunday when it plays Ohio State in the Knoxville Regional

The Tennessee Lady Vols battle the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday afternoon in the Knoxville Regional final. The Lady Vols will advance to the Super Regionals with a win, while the Buckeyes are looking to force an elimination game later Sunday with a victory. The Lady Vols had little trouble in their first game of the regional as they beat Miami (OH) 17-0. They used an 11-run third inning to bust the game wide open and they never let the Red Hawks back into the game. Saturday they then made it a second straight win as they beat the Buckeyes 4-2 to advance to the regional final. The Lady Vols scored a run in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed in the win. They would build a four-run lead after five before finally giving up two runs to the Buckeyes in the sixth. They would shut down the rally, though, and move to within a game of the Super Regionals against either Southeast Louisiana or Nebraska.

The Buckeyes earned their first game against the Lady Vols by beating North Carolina 9-6 on Friday.

They had their bats going against the Tar Heels and did again in an elimination game against Miami (OH) as they beat the Redhawks 11-1 on Saturday.

Sunday they will need to find a way to get them going again against the Lady Vols as they try to pick up a big upset.

The Buckeyes have a tough test as they must win twice against the Lady Vols to make a rare trip to the Super Regionals. They have only been to one Super Regional and that came back in 2009.
