The No. 20 Georgia Bulldogs will travel to the Lone Star State this weekend for an SEC series with the No. 4 Texas A&M Aggies at Jack Turner Stadium. The Bulldogs come into the series opener on Saturday with an overall record of 25-11 and a conference record of 4-8 for a spot in 13th place in the SEC standings. The team is on a three-game losing streak with the most recent being a 5-2 mid-week loss to Mercer. Rachel Gibson was credited with the loss in the circle after giving up three earned runs in 1.1 innings after getting the start for the Bulldogs. Sarah Gordon and Jaydyn Goodwin were responsible for the Bulldogs’ runs as Goodwin fouled out to left field, allowing Dallis Goodnight to score and Gordon hit an RBI single to bring home Paislie Allen.

The Aggies are currently sitting in fourth place in the SEC standings with a conference record of 6-3 and an overall record of 32-5 so far this season. The team has won seven straight games with its last victory coming against Prairie View on Wednesday in a dominant 10-0 run-rule win. KK Dement led the team at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Kennedy Powell and Mac Barbara also finished the game with two RBI. Barbara hit a two-run shot to center field in the third and was the only Aggie to hit an extra-base hit in the win. Grace Sparks improved to 7-1 after getting the start and throwing two strikeouts in two innings of work in the circle.

Georgia and Texas A&M have met a total of 26 times in their history and the Bulldogs hold a 19-7 lead in the all-time series. The teams last met in 2023 and the Bulldogs earned the sweep with the finale being an 8-0 win.
