With Friday night’s win, the Bruins improved to 10-1 in conference play and 38-5 overall for a spot in second place in the Big Ten standings. Behind a standout offensive performance from Megan Grant who went 2-for-3 at the plate with five RBI, the Bruins earned their 10th straight win. Grant opened the scoring with a grand slam in the first and followed with a solo shot to right center in the fifth inning. Sofia Mujica also smashed the ball over the fence with a two-run homer in the first to help propel the Bruins to victory. Addisen Fisher pitched a complete game in the circle, throwing out five batters. She did give up four earned runs and 10 hits, but strong defense from the remainder of the team allowed the team to walk away with another win.

Washington and UCLA have met a total of 108 times in their history and the Bruins hold a strong 72-36 lead in the all-time series. Tune in on Saturday to see if the Huskies are able to force a rubber match for game three or if the Bruins will tack on their 11th straight win.
