The perfect season for top-ranked Penn State (12-0) is on the line the final week of the regular season. The Nittany Lions heads to Columbus, Ohio to face-off against eighth-ranked Ohio State (13-2), who bounced back after a tough loss heading into this matchup. This has not only been a perfect season for the Nittany Lions in the win/loss column, but in the most dominant fashion. Through their first 12 competitions the Nittany Lions have allowed 10 points just once while outscoring every team they’ve faced by 493-37 combined points. Senior Greg Kerkvliet looks to continue that level of dominance against another quality opponent in the Big Ten.

Kerkvliet (15-0) has been unstoppable in his senior season. He has the opportunity to close out his career undefeated. He will be challenged by the Buckeyes sophomore Nick Feldman (13-4) who has the opportunity to pull off arguably the upset of the season, especially in the 285-pound weight class.

The Nittany Lions are one of the most talented teams in college wrestling history around Kerkvliet. They have one more wrestler ranked No. 1 in a weight class in sophomore Mitchell Mesenbrink (16-0, 165 pounds) and six more ranked in the top five of their weight classes.

Senior Beau Bartlett (15-0, 141 pounds), junior Shayne Van Ness (14-1, 149 pounds), sophomore Tyler Kasak (14-1, 157 pounds), junior Levi Haines (14-1, 174 pounds) and senior Carter Sarocci (15-0, 184 pounds) are all ranked second in the country in their weight classes as well.
