College wrestling features a Top 25 matchup between the Stanford Cardinal and NC State Wolfpack.
Heading into the final home dual of the season seventh-ranked NC State (10-1) are riding high with three wins in a row. They host 17th ranked Stanford (9-3) who have just two more competitions after this to build momentum heading into tournament season. This season the Cardinal are 2-3 in competitions against ranked opponents. The Wolfpack are 4-1 against ranked opponents including back-to-back wins against 15th ranked Pittsburgh and 18th ranked North Carolina heading into this competition. The Wolfpack will close out the regular season with a fourth straight competiton against a ranked opponent on the road before the ACC Championship and the NCAA Tournament begin.

This season the Wolfpack have been led by third-ranked Vincent Robinson (17-1) in his freshman season. He is a rising star and the future of the 125 pound weight class. The Wolfpack have one more top five ranked wrestler in junior Isaac Trumble (14-3) in 285 pounds.
Trumble will face-off with 25th ranked Peter Ming (11-6) who has the opportunity to close out his career with defining win. An upset in this match could give the Cardinal the opportunity for an upset here.
The Cardinal are led by senior Jaden Abas (16-7) in 149 pounds as their highest ranked individual wrestler. He will be challenged by another rising star in college wrestling in freshman Koy Buesgens (15-8). That match could determine whether the Cardinal have a chance at the upset or if the Wolfpack will cruise to a fourth straight win.
