There’s nothing to separate Cruz Azul and Club América heading into the second leg of their CONCACAF Champions Cup quarter-final. Watch the game live and for free on Fubo today.

Everything is left to play for in the only all-Liga MX quarter-final of this season’s CONCACAF Champions Cup, where Cruz Azul and Club América face off with the scoreline level at 0-0. The Clasico Joven will be revived on Tuesday when the two Mexico City nemeses face off in what will be the second of three meetings taking place over just 11 days. As fate would have it, the rivals also happen to be the two most decorated teams in the history of the Champions Cup, having each featured in eight finals apiece and accounting for a combined 13 titles.

América just about edged that record with seven continental crowns to Cruz Azul’s six, the former having lost just one final appearance to date while La Máquina has fallen short in two.

Los Aguilas have got the better of this head-to-head in recent times and won five of their last nine encounters with Cruz Azul while losing just once over that span.

And the current Liga MX Clausura campaign has Andre Jardine’s side on course for a potential title, level on points at the top of the table while Tuesday’s host sits two points behind in third.

Cruz Azul has prepared for this encounter in dream-like fashion, going undefeated in its last 10 games and most recently sealing a 3-2 win over Pumas UNAM thanks to a brace from Carlos Rotondi:

The Argentinian brought an end to his barren run of five league games without a goal, tripling his tally of Clausura finishes this season in one fell swoop.

Veteran Angel Sepulveda reigns as the club’s top scorer this term, however, having scored 18 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions (including Champions Cup, Clausura and Apertura).

The 34-year-old also leads the Champions Cup goal charts with four to his name thus far in the campaign, while América doesn’t have a single player on more than one.

That being said, Jardine’s side were the first in the competition this term to keep Sepulveda quiet, hoping to repeat the feat at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario and sneak a vital win.
