The CONCACAF Champions Cup quarter-finals come to a close on Wednesday when Inter Miami will host Los Angeles FC needing to overcome a one-goal deficit in order to stand any chance of advancing. A 1-0 win on the west coast saw Steve Cherundolo’s side snatch the slimmest of leads in last week’s opening leg, handing Inter its first defeat of the season in efficient manner. That being said, the Herons are still yet to taste defeat at home and have the talents of superstars like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez attempting to take them within reach of yet another title together.

A draw or better would be sufficient for LAFC to knock Messi & Co out of the competition, though there are few players more adept when it comes to leading teams to silverware.

They’re certainly doing as much this MLS season, sitting second in the Eastern Conference and just a point off leading Columbus Crew, while LAFC is ninth in the Western half of the league.
