Olímpico Universitario Stadium is set to host the exciting mid-week matchup between home side Pumas UNAM and visiting club Cavalry FC on Thursday in the second leg of the first round of the CONCACAF Liga de Campeones. The two clubs met last week at Starlight Stadium in Canada in the first leg of the draw on Thursday night. Santiago López was able to break the deadlock just before halftime in the 44th minute of the match, putting the Mexico City side up 1-0 at the break. Cavalry FC then found an equalizer via Charlie Trafford in the 57th minute of the encounter. Finally, it was Tobias Warschewski who secured the 2-1 advantage for the Canadian side heading into the second leg in Mexico City.

On Tuesday, four-second legs were played in the CONCACAF Liga de Campeones, all featuring Liga MX clubs.

Monterrey, Guadalajara, Tigres UANL and Cruz Azul all won their encounters to advance to the second round of the competition.

Monterrey took a 3-0 victory over Forge FC in the second leg at BBVA Stadium, thanks to goals from Germán Berterame (two) and Jordi Cortizo.

Then, Guadalajara also beat Cibao FC 3-0 on Tuesday, where Fernando Beltrán, Javier Hernández and Armando González Alba all found the back of the net.

Tigres UANL also won their second leg matchup 3-0, thanks to goals from Ozziel Herrera, Diego Lainez and Juan Pablo Vigón.

Finally, la Máquina took a 5-0 victory over Real Hope FA to advance to the second round of the CONCACAF Liga de Campeones.
