This will be Oman’s first match of the round after it went 4-0 at home in Round 6, with two victories each over United Arab Emirates and Netherlands. The top four teams of the eight participating in League 2 will advance to the qualifying tournament, with four others coming from the qualifier playoff tournament along with the 11th and 12th ranked teams in the ICC’s ODI team rankings.

Namibia, though serving as a host for the 2027 World Cup, has to go through qualifying because it is not a full member of the ICC. It lost to the United States by 114 runs, 293/8-179, on Saturday. Malan Kruger led Namibia’s batters with 32 runs on 44 balls, with Shaun Fouche adding 22 on 37. JJ Smit bowled 4-46 in nine overs while Bernard Scholtz took three wickets while surrendering 47 runs in his nine overs.

Oman plays the United States in the next match on Wednesday, before Namibia and the U.S. square-off again on Friday.
