Bangladesh comes off an eight-wicket loss to India on Sunday, falling 66/2-64/8 after batting first. Captain Sumaiya Akter led the batters with 21 runs on 29 balls with Jannatul Maoua posting 14 on 20. Akter leads the team with 70 runs in four matches and Afia Ashima Era has 66. Mst Anisa Akter Soba has taken seven wickets for Bangladesh.

West Indies set 53 as the score to beat after batting first in its 57/3-53 loss to Australia on Saturday. Brianna Harricharan’s 17 runs on 29 balls led the attack with captain Samara Ramnath adding 14 on 19. Asabi Callender’s 47 runs in four matches leads the squad, with Ramnath just behind with 46. Ramnath and Naijanni Cumberbatch have each claimed four wickets.

The U-19 T20 was first contested in South Africa in 2023, with India beating England in the championship match. Both Bangladesh and West Indies reached the Super Six in that tournament as well.
