After his eventual game-winning goal against Tottenham Hotspur two Mondays ago, Forest forward Chris Wood now has a career high 19 goals on the season, marking his sixth double-digit goal scoring season after posting four 10-plus goal campaigns with Burnley from 2017-2021. The 33-year-old New Zealand native has 210 goals across all competitions as a professional and has netted 44 goals for New Zealand in international competitions, scoring hat tricks against Samoa and Fiji in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifications in the last two fixtures.

Jean-Philippe Mateta has posted 14 goals for Palace this season, including a goal in a 2-2 draw at Arsenal on Wednesday. Mateta is now two goals away from equalizing his career-high output from last season, as the club has collected nine points in the 10 matches in which he has scored.

Nottingham Forest is undefeated in three Premier League fixtures at Selhurst Park with the last two visits ending in a draw. Chris Wood scored a 65th minute goal to give Forest a 1-0 home victory at The City Ground back in late October.
