They are the first Atlantic Coast Conference team to double-digit wins and are still undefeated against conference teams at 10-0. They hold a one-game lead over No. 21 Louisville and Clemson.

After going undefeated last month, their closest win came against Notre Dame in the middle of the month. They won 86-78 despite being down with less than 10 minutes remaining. A similar situation happened with NC State in their last win on Monday, but they closed it out with a 10-point win. Freshman sensation Cooper Flagg leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 19.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. He will be a matchup nightmare for UNC.

The North Carolina Tar Heels have fallen to 13-9 overall this season and are in fear of missing the NCAA Tournament.
