How to Watch Live NBA Playoffs Game 3: Brooklyn Nets at Milwaukee Bucks

Maybe the best thing about these playoffs besides them not occuring in a bubble, is that more than half of the remaining teams have never won a championship. That somehow includes the Brooklyn Nets who won two ABA titles with Dr. Julius Erving and came close in the early 2000s with Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin. Even the teams that have a championship, it's been quite some time since they've raised hardware. Like the Milwaukee Bucks, who last won it in 1971 before Kareem Abdul-Jabbar moved to Los Angeles. Whoever wins it all this year, it will be a long time coming and a much deserved win for a lucky city. Right now, Brooklyn looks like favorite to end that franchise's drought.

That's because they have a whole new Irving that will make the hall of fame one day. Kyrie's decision to move to Brooklyn is finally paying off after a rollercoaster of injuries the last two years experienced by the transcendent point guard but also by the other stars comprising of Brooklyn's Big 3. This series is all about former MVP's and one of them in particular is making this series look like it's going to end in four games. Kevin Durant looks like he has a NBA 2K21 cheat code unlocked in Game 2 when he put up 32 in a blowout win against the Bucks.

Durant was out an entire year after tearing his Achilles in that 2019 NBA Finals against Toronto when he was on the Warriors. It's the worst injury in the sport and somehow he has come back to his former MVP self in these playoffs. The scariest thing might be that the Nets won at home by 39 points with their third star James Harden. He's out for Game 3 with a hamstring injury but when he comes back, it's difficult to see how anyone would come close to beating them in the Finals. As if they didn't have enough, Blake Griffin looks rejuvenated dunking again and out of the malaise of Detroit. The Bucks are going to need every home court advantage to get back in this series.

That's the disappointing thing about this 2021 Milwaukee team. Giannis Antetokounmpo is every bit of his MVP caliber self this year. Maybe the only reason he didn't win the award for the third year in a row was that he had more of a supporting cast this year. After surprisingly going out of the second round in last year's playoffs by the bubble-charged Miami Heat, adding Jrue Holiday was supposed to get them over the hump and Khris Middleton has really been stepping it up. But it's just difficult to compete with an inarguably better Big 3. Milwaukee will have the slight advantage moving this series back home but must play with an incredible sense of urgency especially with Harden out to avoid going into an inescapable 3-0 hole.
