Battle of unbeatens kicks off as Wrexham faces Birmingham City for the first time since 2006
Being dubbed the “Hollywood Derby” due to the clubs celebrity ownership, today’s League One match of undefeated clubs takes center stage as Birmingham City welcomes Wrexham into St. Andrew’s at Knighthead Park for the first meeting between the clubs in nearly two decades. Wrexham has held four consecutive opponents without a goal having tallied a clean sheet victory at Peterborough United at the end of August while Birmingham City has conceded at least one goal in every match this season but have maintained an undefeated start after Scott Wright’s game winner in the first minute of second half injury time against Wigan Athletic in the last match prior to the international break.
