Former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris debate for the first time on Tuesday night in the second Presidential Debate.
The second Presidential Debate will take place Tuesday night on ABC between the former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris. In the first presidential debate, Trump debated against incumbent President Joe Biden. However, shortly after that first debate, pressure mounted on President Biden to step down as the Democratic nominee. President Biden succumbed to the voter’s desires and withdrew from the election on July 21.
The two parties went back and forth over this debate, eventually agreeing to it while desiring to see one more. Former Republican President Trump suggested a second debate between these two nominees (third debate total) on FOX News in September, but Vice President Harris countered with a proposed debate in October. Regardless, there will also be a Vice Presidential debate between Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance on Oct. 1.
