On Saturday night’s all-new episode titled “The Unending Search for Sara Anne Wood,” investigators and various law enforcement officials will continue to search for the body of 12-year-old Sara Anne Wood who was murdered 30 years ago. Lewis Lent remains in prison for the young girl’s murder in addition to the murder of Jimmy Bernardo in 1990 in a small town in Massachusetts. While Bernardo’s body was discovered by some hunters in New York, about 200 miles from his hometown, Wood’s body was never discovered.
Four years after Jimmy’s death, an attempted abduction led police to Lewis Lent who had been a janitor at the cinema where Jimmy was last seen. When police questioned him, it led them to Wood’s disappearance. Lent eventually pled guilty to both the death of Bernardo and Wood, but he has forever withheld the location of Wood’s body, denying her family the closure they so desperately need.
