The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards will take place on Friday night at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, with the event honoring the top names in daytime television. Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner are set to host the ceremony. The duo, who are co-anchors on Entertainment Tonight will host for the third year in a row.

There are a number of major awards to be handed out. Outstanding Drama Series features six nominees: The Bay, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, Neighbours and The Young and the Restless.
The five nominees for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series are The Jennifer Hudson Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Tamron Hall, Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts and The View.
The acting awards are a who’s who of soap operas, including Eric Braeden from Young and the Restless topping the list of Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Drama Series nominees. Braeden is nominated for the first time since 2004 and is looking to win for the first time since 1998.
Melody Thomas Scott from The Young and the Restless, producer Edward J. Scott and celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards on Friday night.
