FOX brings us a new show on Tuesday night with the premiere of Doc at 9 p.m.

The new series Doc premieres Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on FOX. After a brain injury erases the last eight years of Dr. Amy Larsen’s life, she must navigate an unfamiliar world where she has no recollection of patients she’s treated, colleagues she’s crossed, the soulmate she divorced, the man she now loves or the tragedy that caused her to push everyone away. She can rely only on her estranged 17-year-old daughter, whom she remembers as a 9-year-old, and a handful of devoted friends, as she struggles to continue practicing medicine, despite having lost nearly a decade of knowledge and experience according to the shows description.

Faced with this new reality and everything she has lost in the years she can’t remember, Amy’s one goal is to remain a doctor. To do so, she must go back to being an intern and try to put together the pieces of her life as she depends on what people are telling–or not telling–her. Namely certain memories those close to her believe would perhaps be too painful to relive and are best left forgotten.

Inspired by a true story and based on the hit eponymous Italian drama series, Doc stars Molly Parker as hard-charging, brilliant Chief of Internal Medicine Dr. Amy Larsen, whose world is turned upside down after a car accident causes her to forget the last eight years of her life.
